The end result for those asking

Ok. I tried this project a long time ago and just noticed the attention this blog is getting.

After 2 months of entering competitions i actually didn't win a single thing but i now get loads of spam in my mail box from all sorts of places. Lesson learned... you will loose 99.99% of comps and in most cases they take your email and sell it to spam companies.

Overview

Ok so i found myself with 2 months of absolute nothingness, and i have to make this 2 months of nothing into something. So while i was surfing the net and thinking of what to do i come across an online survey that will pay you money to complete it.

That got me thinking of the question can someone actually make a living completing online surveys and entering endless competitions and if they can how much could they possibly make. Well I'm  finally going to put that question to rest and for the next 2 months do nothing but paid online surveys and enter countless competitions.

I am going to blog everyday on how I'm going in the challenge, how much I've made or won, and my own opinions from my own experiences doing this as an actual full time job. To all those people saying you cant make money on the internet, no one ever wins competitions and online paid surveys cant make you any real doe, I'm about to prove you either right or wrong.

At the end of the 2 months we will find out how much money you can make in online paid surveys full time and as a part time hobby. Also if people really can win stuff from entering competitions (if i don't win anything then we know it is completely pointless and to never enter any competition ever again) and if you can win how many comps can you win compared to amount entered.

Thus ending all the questions and legends that everyone is thinking off.

Ok so its has been my very first day. And it was a lot busier than i would have expected, i managed to pack in subscribing to 30ish different survey sites (which isn't easy because you massive questionnaires about yourself every time) and entered 20ish competitions.

I think i have found just about every survey site that pays out there, I'm going to check again tomorrow to see if there are any more i missed, I'll be very happy once this first stage is over with and i don't have to repeat the same questions over and over all day.

My plans at this point are to pretty much have it set up so all i have to do is sit in my inbox refreshing it over and over and have all the surveys and competitions come to me.

So to wrap up my day its been really busy (from the moment i wake up to the second i fall asleep) but i only have to subscribe to them all once and then its done and i wont ever have to do it again. Oh and i did like 3 surveys that were sent to me already.
Just a quick update. But first i want to mention that every 3-5ish days (when i feel is necessary) i will be doing a main progress report and in-between will be just quick updates or little summaries of how my day was and how much i got done. So with that out the way today i completed about 5 surveys (which is pretty average considering I've just started) and spent the rest of the days entering competitions, which i know doesn't sound too exiting but i can already think of some interesting points that i am going to bring up in my 3 day progress report.
I gotta make this real quick because i went on a competition entering frenzy all day and forgot to check my emails for surveys, then when i checked them later on i had 10 surveys to do and i was just about ready to go to bed :(. At the moment i got most of them done and there is a massive 4 hour one that im going to have to finnish tomorrow and the other 4 i will have to do tomorrow as well, i'm just hoping its not to late to apply for them. So that was my lesson learnt for the day to check my emails every hour for surveys.

Day 4 summary of so far

Its been 4 days in to the 60ish day project. I was support to do my main progress report yesterday on day 3 but if you read it you would find out i was really busy. So far in the four days ive manages to sign up to every online survey sight imaginable which has paid off because i am pretty much doing none stop surveys (which is what you need if you want to make a living doing this). I figured Im roughly getting $6-$10 an hour and i do get the breaks to enter a lot of competitions. I can see why people doing this would give up so fast considering you need around $100 built up before you can transfer it into paypal or some sort of gift card, which can take a long time when some sites only send out one survey every 2 days and it might only be a 50 cent or a $1 survey but you will get the bigger better ones every now and then which would add up to about $100 a month from that site. Well that doesn't sound all too great but considering that is a worst case scenario for a survey sight (some offer 2-3 surveys a day paying a lot more than $1 per survey), if you think about it when you are sighed up to around 30-40 survey sights like me that adds up to  $3000 (30x100) a month, so if you can stick it out for that first month of working with it seeming like you aren't getting paid it might pay off. BUT i'm just saying theoretically that is what i could get, i'm not saying that is what i have gotten (i am still only 4 days into this which is very early). I could be completely wrong, if in a months time i have that sort of cash in my hand i will tell use and if i don't well then i will wait and stick for another month to see where it can take me, if still by then i haven't made or seen any good money well then i know and everyone else knows it defiantly doesn't work and the case will be solved and put to rest forever.

Okelly dokelly today was pretty simple completed a bunch tone of surveys and enter a tone bunch of competitions, some of these competitions are actually pretty exciting, like imagine winning an actual car!! but that probably would never happen :'( or would it?? anyway thats my quick update for today. In a couple days time ill bring up some more points that i have thort of and address them to you all. And thats it for today.
Today was breezy because i think i just figured out that most survey websites don't send out surveys on Sundays, the evidence? was only give one survey to do.. but that gave me that chance to enter a whole lot of competitions and spend more time on the more time consuming competitions, which i figured gives me more chances of winning because less people want to spend so much time and effort just to enter a competition. But maybe thats what everyone else thinks so everyone enters them... dam, haha im kidding most people skip the 30 minutes to enter comps and go straight for the 5 second just enter email and address competitions.
Typical day surveys, competitions, surveys, competitions, surveys, competitions, surveys, competitions, surveys, competitions, surveys and competitions. Thats all i have to say for today!

Day 8 summary so far

So far its been just over a week i have everything sorted out now. I've entered pretty much every competition you can find and signed up to heaps of competition websites, now all the new competitions that are made get sent to my emails. I signed up to all online survey websites and they are all sending me surveys, so now all i have to do i sit in my emails and let the surveys and competitions come to me. I figured out the other day that i just missed out on a massive amount of Easter competitions which is very annoying but it happens. Also i wanted to point out that like i was saying in my 4 day summary if you want to do this you have to be able to wait at-least a month before you see your first pay, same goes with competitions, you can be entering countless competitions for weeks and not win anything at the start, which would make it very easy to decide to quit. But the fact is when you enter these comps you have to wait a month or 2 or even more for the comp to end and be drawn. So just because your not winning at the start doesn't mean your never going to win, you just have to be patient for them to be drawn. So hopefully at the one month mark i will see some money coming it and hopefully start winning some competitions.
By know i think use are realising how impulsive my days are, reading all these day by day posts use never know what i'm going to do next. Let me start of by saying, today i completed a whole bunch of surveys and entered lottts of competitions, told use you don't know what i'm gonna do next!
Once again in a rush! though i will note that i got a $40 itunes gift card today for doing a 3 hour survey.
Super quick update just to tell you my day was pretty much the same as all the other days!

Day 12 summary do far

Nearly 2 weeks in to this project and i just do surveys all day and enter competitions which i guess use have gathered form reading the other older posts. I haven't won any competitions yet, but i think none of the competitions i've entered have ended yet anyway. So far i don't have a clue how much money i have made, at the one month mark i will go on all the survey websites and add up how much i've earned so far. Sometimes it can be pretty boring doing these surveys i must emit, but about 40% of them are fun and interesting, you get to watch movie trailers that aren't out yet, look at energy drink bottle designs that aren't out yet, watch music videos that aren't out yet and tell them your opinion on them, thats when it's fun. The boring ones are the banking ones and general household ones. I've noticed that a lot of the time different survey websites will send you out the same survey, so you can gun through them a lot quicker than the estimated time they gave you because you know the questions already, that gives you a lot of money in a pretty quick time. Umm that about sums up everything i can think of at the moment, if i think of something else ill bring it up in the next summary.
Surveys and comps all day nothing special to add for today.
once again a normal day nothing special to add.
survey, survey another day haven't won any competitions yet but some of the comps i've entered when i first started are starting to end so my fingers are crossed.
It was a public holiday today so no surveys were sent to me, which means i had a very easy day. But the bad thing is that i didn't make any money.

17 day summary so far

Ok so to me it is becoming more and more clear that with surveys alone you cannot make a living off, they are sending less and less surveys to me and the little i do get i never seem to qualify for. That leaves me to the competitions, unless i win a $5k competition soon i don't think this is possible as a replacement job or even a thing to earn extra cash at home. As use can see i am 17 days into this project and i still have a long way to go but for this update and so far i cant picture it as an actual job. In fact i think about 50-60% of these survey companies are scams, a lot of them don't actually pay you cash but instead will say if you do the survey you go into the 3 month draw to win X amount of cash, and the others send you a heap of surveys then stop before you can gain enough money to withdraw some out. Their are some good ones so far that i have noticed that pay good for surveys and send out a nice steady stream of them, here are the ones that i think are legit (but i must note i am from Australia so if your from another country these sites mite not let you sign up). I will extend the list over time as i get the surveys from the companies i like because at the moment i can't think of them all.

i will remove the ones that disappoint me.

Just surveys and i only had 1 competition to enter for today.
Not many surveys at all and only 1 competition to enter.
No surveys today because its Sunday and not many competitions to enter.
Guess what!! still haven't won any competitions and still doing surveys everyday!
